Sahra Wagenknecht holds a doctorate in economics, is a publicist and politician, and is a member of the Bundestag for the Left Party, for which she also sat in the European Parliament. From 2010 to 2014, she was deputy party chairwoman, and from 2015 to 2019 chairwoman of the Left Party parliamentary group.
