The start of the 2025 apprenticeship program at Beltz Grafische Betriebe in Bad Langensalza marked a special milestone this year: Six young people began their 2025 apprenticeships on August 1—twice as many as last year. This is a clear sign that the company continues to rely on skilled workers from within its own ranks and offers young talent promising career prospects.
The first day focused on orientation: Sebastian Meinberg, training coordinator at Beltz Grafische Betriebe, guided the new trainees through a structured daily program. In addition to organizational matters such as safety training and work attire, the main focus was on getting to know the team, the work processes, and the company.
Things really got going the following Monday—when the trainees began their placements in their respective departments. Whether in prepress, offset printing, digital printing, or bookbinding, the apprentices were immediately integrated into the daily workflow and were able to gain their first insights into their future professional lives.

Kicking off the training year with a bang—that’s how August began
The 2025 apprenticeship program kicked off at Beltz Grafische Betriebe on Friday, August 1—and this first day was deliberately not a typical workday. Organized and led by Sebastian Meinberg, the head of the apprenticeship program, the first day was all about orientation and getting to know one another.
After a group welcome and a brief round of introductions, the group took a tour of the entire company. During the tour, the new trainees not only got to know their own work areas but also gained fascinating insights into other departments and their responsibilities. It was a great opportunity to make initial connections—with coworkers as well as their future trainers.
The program also included a safety briefing, the ordering of work clothes, and organizational information regarding the rest of the training program. It was, in other words, a structured introduction in a relaxed atmosphere that helped ease the new trainees’ nerves and ensured a smooth start to the 2025 training program.
The following Monday, August 4, things really got underway: All the trainees moved into their respective departments—and thus into their new professional routines. Technical, hands-on, and right in the thick of things. A successful start with a promising future.
