As a leading company in the printing industry, we not only have a passion for outstanding print products, but also for a healthy and active working environment. We want to challenge and encourage this and therefore motivate our employees and ourselves to take part in sporting events together from time to time. On 30.04.2023, it was time to put on our running shoes and head off to the 3 TürmeLauf!
What is the 3 TürmeLauf?
The 3 TürmeLauf is a sporting event in our home town of Bad Langensalza. It is hosted and organized by SV Empor Bad Langensalza e. V. and is taking place for the tenth time this year.
The popular sports competition was named after three historic towers: the tower of the former Augustinian church, the tower of the town hall and finally the tower of the market church St. Bonifacii. The park in front of the Gottesackerkirche St. Trinitatis church offers an extraordinary view of the spa town’s characteristic landmarks, which are also explored as part of the 3 TürmeLauf.
The disciplines
Five different disciplines are offered as part of the event:
👉 School run 1000 m
👉 Bambini run 500 m
👉 12.5 km run
👉 5 km run / Nordic walking
3.5 km run for everyone
The start times for each discipline begin throughout the morning so that the number of participants is sufficiently distributed over a certain period of time. All routes lead through the beautiful city center of Bad Langensalza. The start and finish are both at the historic Marktkirche, which dominates the skyline of the city.
The 12.5 km long main course of the 3 TürmeLauf runs past the enchanting rose garden, then through the historic alleyways of the town and the Arboretum, an unspoilt park. The participants then pass the TRACO Park exhibition garden and the Oostkamphalle, before being celebrated at the finish line at the Marktkirche past the Rumpelburg. The shorter routes deviate partially or completely from the route of the main run.
Even the youngest among us can get their first taste of competition at the 3 TürmeLauf and really step on the gas. Registration for the 500 m Bambini run is possible up to the age of six. The Bambinis will be rewarded with a participation medal and free admission to an exciting adventure day at the Rumpelburg in Bad Langensalza.
Participation is worthwhile
In addition to refreshments during the run and at the finish, participants receive prizes and medals for particularly good results at the award ceremony. In addition, depending on the discipline run, free entry to the city’s themed gardens and discounts or reductions for access to the Friederickentherme and the treetop path are granted on presentation of the race number. This allows participants to relax after a strenuous run and experience the special features of the city.
Beltz sponsors the 3 TürmeLauf
As a local and deeply rooted company, we attach great importance to events in the region and are committed to organizing them. It is important to us to also support the organizing club of the 3 TürmeLauf, SV Empor Bad Langensalza e. V., in the planning, organization and execution. We are therefore subsidizing the event as part of a sponsorship.
We were also able to motivate numerous employees across all age and professional groups to take part in the run and demonstrate our sporting prowess for the first time this year. Once again, many thanks and congratulations to all (Beltz) athletes! 💪
In addition to the main sponsor TMP Fenster + Türen and Beltz Grafische Betriebe, 26 other companies also support the organizers financially and by taking part in the run. These include Sparkasse Unstrut-Heinrich, Glinicke and Stadtwerke Bad Langensalza.
Our conclusion to the run
The 3 TürmeLauf offers a unique opportunity to experience the historical features of Bad Langensalza and to put your sporting skills to the test at the same time. Whether you are an experienced runner or a beginner, the race offers an unforgettable experience for all participants.
In addition to sporting successes, taking part in sporting events together promotes team spirit and cohesion among employees. We are delighted with the high level of participation and are already looking forward to the results next year!
