Delicious cooking and strengthening team spirit – this was the motto under which Beltz Grafische Betriebe embarked on a special culinary adventure at the end of 2023. The goal? To promote cohesion through a joint project that focuses on the creativity and diversity of our team.
The idea: a jointly designed cookbook
This gave rise to the idea of creating a cookbook: not just any cookbook, but one designed by employees for employees. A total of 49 colorful recipe ideas from 41 dedicated colleagues were compiled, each recipe unique and a reflection of our company’s vibrant culture.
This cookbook served as a small gesture for Christmas and was distributed to the staff at our Christmas party last year. It was a symbol of appreciation and thanks – a gift that makes it clear that good cohesion and a community with flat hierarchies are important to us.
This joint project not only shared the fun of delicious cooking, but also strengthened the team spirit. The book is a symbol that cohesion and mutual support are very important at Beltz Grafische Betriebe – a project that reflects our shared values and the spirit of cooperation.
Tasty cooking connects: the people behind the recipes
The initiative to design our own cookbook at Beltz Grafische Betriebe was well received by the employees. The aim was to create a project “by the employees for the employees” that reflects the creative diversity of our team. A total of 49 recipes from 41 colleagues found their way into the book, each of them an expression of personal stories and culinary preferences. It shows in particular that our employees are not only real professionals in the workplace, but that they are also real gourmets and can cook particularly delicious meals. 😊
Varied recipes from A-Z
The compilation of these recipes was more than just a collection campaign. It provided a platform for exchange within the workforce. Behind every recipe is a personal touch – from traditional family recipes to spontaneous creations. This diversity of stories and flavors was brought together in a cookbook that is much more than a collection of cooking instructions. It is a reflection of our working culture and the way we work together. And who knows – maybe the day will come when we use the book together as a team and cook delicious meals from it. 🍳
The path to the finished cookbook
Michelle Hartmann from the Data Verification department made a valuable contribution to the implementation of our cookbook project. In addition to compiling the recipes, she was also responsible for designing the cookbook. With an eye for loving detail and great personal commitment, she made it possible to create a coherent and appealing overall work from a large number of individual recipes. We produced a total of 300 copies of the cookbook.
In addition to Ms. Hartmann, our managing director Ms. Rübelmann supported the team project. She brought a few copies of the cookbook to Beltz Verlag in Weinheim to distribute among the staff.
A small thank you
At the 2023 Christmas party, the cookbook was distributed to the employees of Beltz Graphic Arts and the rest of the Beltz publishing group as a small gift and a token of our appreciation. The project showed how a joint campaign can bring colleagues together. The cookbook, the result of this collaboration, stood for the shared commitment, close team spirit and the joy of sharing.
It therefore not only stands for delicious cooking, but also for strengthening our sense of community and for recognizing each individual at Beltz Grafische Betriebe. A good example of how we live and promote team spirit and cooperation in our day-to-day work.
